Four wheelers are great tools when it comes to winter snow removal.  If you are like our company and manage quite a few sidewalks, it might be a worth while investment to purchase a four-wheeler.  Most four-wheelers will fit on your average residential sidewalk.  The important part is choosing the right sized blade to fit on the front of your four-wheelers.  When choosing a four-wheeler, it is important to consider how it will operate in the snow.  There is fuel injected four wheelers and non fuel injected units.  The difference in the two types of units makes quite a bit of difference in the winter.  Some people hope to get better gas mileage by choosing a fuel injected unit.  Since we are talking about running four wheelers as snow removal units, gas mileage really shouldn’t be a major factor.  Fuel injected units start and run better in the cold.  If you are looking for a reliable four-wheeler in the winter, you should choose a fuel injected machine.

Kawasaki Brute Force®- Kawasaki’s Brute Force® 750 series ATV is the ideal unit for snow removal contractors.  This is a large unit that is fully capable of pushing a lot of snow.  These units retail for about $10,000.00 and are worth every bit of it during a heavy snow fall.  If you have used snow blowers in the past to clear your walks, using a ATV will blow you away.  There are used units that you can pick up for about half of the price of a new unit.  Just be careful if you buy a used unit, the last thing that you need is to have the unit break down in the middle of a snow fall.  Always buy used four-wheelers from a reputable dealer or someone who you know.
