Moonbeam Coreopsis is a dense spreading perennial plant. This plant exhibits a tremendous amount of small yellow flowers that bloom all summer long. The center of the flower is dark gold while the petals of the flower are more of a canary yellow color. Moonbeam Coreopsis is drought tolerant once it is fully established. The continuous blooming has immense eye appeal. This plant grows near to the ground and spreads with time. This plant is deer resistant. Cutting down the plant in the fall will lead to new growth in the spring. Make sure to install the plant away from areas that will be treated with salt as this plant is not salt tolerant.
Moonbeam Coreopsis is a great plant to use as a border to your landscape. The foliage of this plant is delicate and tiny. Leaves and branches of the Moonbeam Coreopsis are no larger than a pencil lead in thickness. The green leaves on the plant complement the abundant yellow flowers nicely. This plant should be installed in front of taller perennial plants since it only reaches about a foot high.
