Grey Owl Juniper

Grey Owl Juniper is an evergreen shrub with blue-green foliage.  The foliage of this evergreen shrub is soft to the touch. The branches are red-brown and contrast the foliage nicely. The plant produces small mint-green berries or fruit. The structure of the plant is dense and makes an exceptional habitat for wildlife.

This drought tolerant plant works well as a large ground-cover shrub.  Grey Owl Juniper can be planted as a stand-alone specimen plant or in clumps for added interest.  This evergreen shrub does best in full sunlight exposure.  The mature plant can grow up to three-foot-high and six-foot wide.

Grey Owl Juniper has similar growing habits to Mint Juniper. Both evergreens do well in full sunlight and similar soil conditions. Also, both shrubs get about the same size. Mint Juniper is a traditional medium-green color where Grey Owl is silver.  Installing these shrubs next to each other in a landscape provides excellent contrast and eye appeal.
