Ivory Halo Dogwood ® is a deciduous shrub with variegated white and green leaves. This shrub exhibits bright red stems in the winter. This dwarf variegated dogwood has most of the same characteristics as its counterparts, but it only grows to a fraction of the size. This shrub works well as a stand-alone plant, or it can be installed in a hedge. Ivory Halo Dogwood ® is a moderate grower that naturally forms in a globe. This shrub grows well in partial to full sun environments. Moderate watering is needed during extended periods of high heat and low moisture.
Mature Ivory Halo Dogwood ® can reach up to six feet tall and wide. When installing this shrub, make sure to plant it in an area that is fit for its size. Pruning can be done in summer or over winter. Summer pruning should be dedicated to removing stragglers. Heavy pruning should be done in the winter when the foliage isn’t present. After the leaves have fallen, it is easier to see where to perform selective pruning of major branches.
