P J M Rhododendron

P J M Rhododendron is a broadleaf evergreen shrub. This plant blooms in the spring.  The flowers of this shrub are bright pink.  Flowers on this plant are ruffled and showy. In the center of the flowers, multiple filaments protrude out of the center of the plant.  Attached to the tip of the filaments are anthers. Anthers on the PJM Rhodendron are pink. The fragrant flowers attract birds and butterflies to your property.

The foliage of this shrub is glossy and dark green in color during the spring.  Leaves are oval and come to a point. The top texture of the leaf is leather-like. In the fall, the foliage of this shrub turns dark red and orange.  Mature plants will reach four feet tall and four feet wide. P J M Rhododendron is a known deer resistant shrub.  This shrub prefers partial shade to full sun exposure.  This plant is very hardy and can tolerate high heat and cooler temperatures.  P J M Rhododendron prefers acidic, well-drained soil for optimal results.
