Sea Green Juniper

Sea Green Juniper is an evergreen shrub. This plant has a growing habit that mimics a globe form.  The foliage of this evergreen is fragrant when trimmed. The foliage on this evergreen is formed tight and is prickly. This compact evergreen shrub grows best in full sun exposure.  The mature plant can reach up to four feet tall and wide.

This evergreen is similar in appearance to that of the Mint Julep Juniper.  This evergreen works best when planted in hedges or mass plantings.  Sea Green Juniper can be planted as a stand-alone plant.  If the evergreen is installed as an independent plant, it should be pruned as a globe to maintain its natural form. Planting shrubs too close together can cause bare spots on the plant. It is vital that you space your plants and keep them trimmed annually.

Details-  Sea Green Juniper is a compact evergreen shrub that can grow up to 4 feet tall and wide.  This shrub has a strong evergreen scent.  This plant works well as a stand-alone evergreen or as a hedge.

Pruning-  Pruning should be done in the summer.  Since the evergreen naturally grows in a globe form, consider rounding the plant when pruning it.  If your shrub is planted in a hedge, consider pruning the evergreen in a rectangular shape.  Pruning should not exceed the foliage of the plant.  If you start to see a woody and bare center, stop pruning.
