Spring Glory Forsythia

Spring Glory Forsythia is a deciduous shrub that is known for its beautiful yellow flowers in the spring.  This plant has a massive amount of flowers in the spring. There are so many flowers that the entire shrub looks yellow. Since this shrub produces such vibrant color, it is commonly installed as a hedge or backdrop plant.  The yellow flowers will only last for a short period of time, but this plant is well worth installing in your landscape. Green buds open up to yellow flower petals. As the flowers emerge, they form a cone consisting of several petals.

If you are looking for a plant to install as a border around the perimeter of your property, consider Spring Glory Forsythia.  This shrub enjoys full sun exposure and does not thrive as well in the shade.  Spring Glory Forsythia can grow up to ten feet tall and wide when it is fully mature.  Keep in mind what the mature size of the plant will be, when you are installing this shrub on your property. Pruning can be done annually to help the plant maintain a uniform shape and size.
