Field Madder

Field Madder is a broadleaf weed that blooms in the summer.  This plant produces small pink to purple flowers.  The leaves of this weed are small and narrow towards the top of the plant.  The leaves form a distinct point on their ends.  The leaves as well as the stems of this plant are hairy.  The stems of this weed are square in form.  This weed can grow prostrate along the ground or up right in some situations.  Most commonly this weed grows along the ground.
